A message from our founder
For more than two decades, we have believed that real change begins with awareness. Every story shared, every voice heard, and every life touched reminds us why this work matters. We are proud of the impact we have made together — and even more hopeful for the difference still ahead.

About us

A voice for civil society in Armenia

Founded in August 2003 by Arzuman Harutyunyan, the Association of Audio-Visual Reporters (AAVR) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening civil society in Armenia.

Our mission is to contribute to the establishment of civil society in Armenia by giving a voice to the voiceless.

Our goal is simple — to hear, to see, and to present. Through professionally produced audio-visual content, we bring attention to issues that demand the public's understanding and action.

Our work covers migration, human trafficking, civil society, HIV/AIDS, volunteering, elections, environmental protection, and the issues facing people with disabilities.

Featured initiative

Accident Zone

This project was aimed at:

  • Preventing and reducing road accidents in Armenia.
  • Raising awareness among road users.
  • Strengthening First Aid knowledge in case of accidents.

A central part of the programme was 3D modelling of accidents and expert commentary on that basis — examining whether each accident could have been avoided.
